Established in 1985, we provide a welcoming platform where inventors can connect, collaborate, and bring their ideas to life. Our members range from hobbyists and students to experienced professionals — all sharing the same drive to turn imagination into reality.
2025 marks the 40th anniversary of Birmingham Inventors — four decades of inspiring ideas, breakthrough inventions, and community collaboration. Over the years, BI has supported hundreds of innovators across the Midlands, offering advice, workshops, and a network of like-minded individuals dedicated to creative problem-solving.

Our History
Founded in 1985 by a group of passionate innovators, Birmingham Inventors has grown from a small local group into one of the UK’s longest-standing inventor networks. Rooted in Birmingham’s proud industrial heritage, BI continues to champion the spirit of creativity and invention that defines the city.
